Little
Weighton -Yorkshire Country Women's Association
There has been a branch
of the Y.C.A. in Little Weighton since 1983. We meet in
the
Village Hall on the first Wednesday of the month except
August. It is £1 per night and we start at 7.30pm
and finish, after tea and biscuits, any time at or around
9pm.
We welcome new members at any time
of the year. You can come twice to see if you like us
and re interested in what we do, after which time the
annual membership fee is £7.
We organize talks on most evenings
and a competition which is purely for fun. We also have
a Garden Party in June and an outing in July.
Coach parties to Houses or Gardens
are also organized from time to time.
We are well into the New Year now
and looking forward to Spring, especially after the cold
and snow of last November which cancelled our Christmas
Dinner the Carols at York Minster and also a dinner and
carols at Driffield. It made for a quiet December.
Nevertheless we have our programme
for the next three months below and hope that this next
Dinner is enjoyed by all members and the making of Easter
cards is as successful as our previous attempts at 'making
things'. Never mind if they don't turn out too well it
is great fun having a go.
